Rayman (and I as a minor contributor) is working up some ideas for getting us past the point of "one successful attack and done" in wars.  The current plans are for HOD and Pilgrims to have some "friendly wars" in the new year to test out the scoring systems.  We'll pass on our results, as we develop them.

Thats cause he used 9 quintillion probes in the attack,  almost 6 of which got wasted in round 1,  so at the end of round 1,  I had more points in the battle than he did (and enuff to end the war), auto victory.... now ...

Here is an Example on what may have happened.

As a programmer I could see it See this sample program

For WarRound=1 to 6
Add War points
If War Points is >=1,000,000,000,000 then GOSUB Warwin
Next WarRound

This sample program would look at each round and if in Round 1 the war was won it is over. A FLAW in Program. Should have been programmed like this

For WarRound=1 to 6
Add War points
Next WarRound
IF War Points >=1,000,000,000,000 THEN GOSUB War win.

This sample program would add the six round of war points THEN go see if war is over.

So this hit showed up a flaw in the game. A solution. Fix program to look at all rounds before calculating a winner of the War.

Its a glitch, even if it wasn't and we went on the points scored in the war you see they are a draw and we win on the overall dsp scored. (251,191,059,855,173,156,864 DSP to  70,219,403,781,262,925,824 DSP)which is how it should have gone down.  you was a good sport i have to give you that WGW.

My guess is it simply is looking for the total points to be over "X" points, as soon as that occurs,  war over. From a programming perspective, thats really how is has to be.  Now in regards to a single battle,  possibilities become endless.

But when you consider that the program must take into consideration that several battles may be occurring at the same or close to the same time, milliseconds may very well decide the outcome, so each point is added as the server processes the battle(s).

I am fairly certain a war is just a stored variable, with a good ol if then else at the end. Points can be dumped in from any direction, it dont care one bit. Bucket gets full .. dump it.

Once the point threshold is reached, all other points pertaining to that war are ignored - as it must be. While it seems amusing to me to no end, those probes read like the death of the round.

So by your account you won the war on the 6qd probes and 100q athena your fleet took out in the 1st round.  you say nothing about the 2.6qd arts or 2.6qd apollo nor the rest that took heavy losses in the millisecs of round 1. seems to me that this is nothing more than a glitch which bfg agrees.  BUT HEY IF PILGRIMS WANT A REMATCH BEST OF 5 ROUNDS I'M SURE BASED ON WILL BE UP FOR IT.  The game is just to boring to not be at war.

pmsl. at the end of round 1 in the battle when i smashed your heph fleet the total points for each of us was as follows.

i don't know what school you went to pal the math say's it all. proves not only did you get your ass kicked in all 6 rounds of the single battle, its a glitch as jason from bfg said.
