The bottle neck occurs long before your get near the the bonus cap even with the full bonus.

Same as capitol similar formula... the bottle neck occurs long before you get to the bonus cap even with the full bonus

I appreciate that it is difficult for a lot of people to understand what is happening with this when trying to explain it in numbers and percentages so it might be easier represented visually.

Capitol and shipyard work on a similar formula so the effects are pretty much the same

Once you get past effective lab 200 to 250 (bonus or not), you are effectively getting next to nothing for an increasing amount of resources.

Looking at that effective lab graph particularly, it shows that it is mathematically impossible for anyone to gain any more than a tech level higher than you on any tech even if they have twice the number of effective lab levels and a full bonus. The bonus is quite misleading in this respect. It is not designed to give an advantage at higher levels. It is best viewed and gives more advantage at lower lab levels where its effect is more meaningful.

Also it shows that ARC net is not designed to save you time this is another misconception. It is designed to save you resources on lab upgrades for effective lab lvls because it is much cheaper to upgrade a lab that is at a lower level for the same lab level effect.
