Bomber Question
« on: January 28, 2010, 10:18:34 PM »
I have a planet that I am raiding.  The only def. left are 20 ABM's.  I just got my Bombers.  Will they target the ABM's and take them out?

No Borg ever won a war dying for the collective. Only decimating, or assimilating the other poor species.
Assimilated from Gen. Patton's speech.

You need not worry with the ABM's as defenses. You can just send hercs or atlas's and still get the resources.

Do ABMs take part in a 'normal' attack (they're pathetically weak) or are they only used to attack IPBM?
Do (70% of) ABMs get destroyed when you flatten a planets defences?

"No Moon - No fleet".   Oracles suck because they chage a fundamental concept of the game.

ABMs only get destroyed in taking out enemy missiles.

IPBMs only get destroyed if they are launched, they either hit or get taken out by an ABM.

The exception is that they may now be deconstructed.

You can actually target and destroy IBM's with another IBM (provided they have no ABMs on that planet as well). Their low hull means you can take quite a few our rather easily before they can be launched at you
