We need some more people to join in the defense.  I know that there is no way my fleet will stand a chance against babam's.  Come on everyone we need some more takers.  Keep in mind you need to state the side you are on.

I have a pretty good idea of what's actually going to happen here, and won't be participating at all.  8-)

If someone pm's me the coordinates though, I will send a probe or 2.  ;)

it's pretty clear what's going to happen it's all spelt out...  just gotta tie up some lose ends and this will be my retirement plan

and most likely, people will PM me in game if they want to participate so i can invite them to the retirement attack, attackers, defends, and spectators alike.

I was thinking along the lines of half of the defenders pulling out at the last second so the people quitting actually win the battle. Not saying it would be intentional on your part, but I can see it happening.

I'd be interested, gone over to Extreme and don't see much point in playing the old version anymore. I don't see any of the promised changes happening so better to go out in a blaze of glory than slip into the night so to speak.

If we where to go ahead with this then it would have to be a secret location that only the players taking part in the attack  knew about. Also you know that all the active players would be searching around for the debris field for hours/days/weeks and that sounds funny in itself. Even if people found it they'd only take small chunks at a time.

You could speak to admin and see if they would be willing to lock us out after we all launch, that way no-one can weasel out and claim the rewards. Obviously they don't want people quitting but surely an event like this would be good for the game, better than us just disappearing in vacation mode.

No need to tie up a fleet point for 25 days...you can join in at any point in the attack...and with a probe...as long as you are no more than 5 galaxies away, you should be able to have the hydro...if not, attach an atlas to it...

This would be too awesome for me to not partake in the defender side, despite the extreme likelyhood of loosing all the ships I send. I can't send anything huge, but a bunch of extra fighters will help make things interesting. Maybe a few cruisers too. Definately a small cloud of probes for fodder and to have a record of the incident.
