Skrew that workbook. Fix the problem we have now.

... sigh. Just stop posting Nero.

Anyway I'm trying to open it in OO.org on my Mac and I'm having some trouble, if I figure it out I'll let you know. Looks pretty cool so far - is there any way to migrate settings if you release a new version of the sheet?
Yea, the first page will not be modified at all so the values can all be copied and pasted from version to version.
That's what planning ahead is good for :)

I forgot to mention, there is a diplomacy mode feature, but it was hidden in the first release because I hadn't finished testing it.
That's why it asked for your resource point score ;)

Does anyone have an easier galaxy mapping tool?  Currently working out of an excell spreadsheet version that is ages old..

I don't mind doing hard work but this is crazy...

Do you mean perhaps the Galactic Black Book on Battlecalc?

I made a bit of a critical error in the earlier version. I've corrected it so that the extra (and outdated sheet) isn't included. This seems to have confused many people.

I'll upload the new version once I've finalized the diplomacy mode option.

I've finalized diplomacy mode and fixed the overview issue that many people were having.
The new version is labeled 0.1.2

You can easily transfer entered data values into the newer sheets by copying and pasting them.

I have also made it so you are not required to register to download the non-private tools available on the site.
You will still need to register if you want to vote on them or leave a comment though.

hopfully my one worksheet i carried over from ogame i sent you was able to help some..=D

Let me know what else i can help with. Already noticed that the energy equation needs to be hammered out. Am looking into this as i had the same problem with my old worksheet and never was able to get it 100%, closest i got it was about 98% accurate. =(

**edit**

i love how it edited the game out to something else...just made my evening...=D

It's only ever off by 1 energy. It has to do with rounding I'm sure ;)

Galaxy mapping is a little deeper than the black book.  You actually copy and paste SS view pages and then parse out the information.

You can look up players as well as other attributes.  Currently using an excell sheet that was desighned for another program.

I thought the black book was only for esp reports..  maybe I need to look at that closer..

UF6 is working on something like that and a browser plug-in but it will be one of our private tools.
It will actually be a bit more extensive than just a galaxy mapping tool though ;)

As for the workbook, I took a look at open office. The issue appears to be that oo.org doesn't handle images the same way (infact I can't seem to get the behavior I want). Another issue seems to be that the radio buttons I created are VB. Currently VB cannot be deployed in oo.org documents.
