a target...1 (or more) zeus.  50 proms.  100 athenas.

an attacker...500 athenas and 1000 poseidons.

guess who wins?

status symbols are just that...

People with fleet combinations like that deserve to get their Zeus blown up. Over 25 Prometheus or the equivalent of that has to hit a Zeus in 1 round to even take down it's shields.

I have a Zeus, but I also have over 3500 other ships that are formidable in their own right. With the Zeus there, that's a difficult target. Not an impossible one, but a difficult one.

10 Zeus.

Now THAT'S a status symbol.

I'd say a battle-Charon is a status symbol!

I had this problem once recently, I had 26m res being spent on crystal mine upgrades on many of my planets, had a research going on, and I didn't want to build ships for the moment. I wound up hoarding something like an additional 22m res sitting around before dumping it back into my account as foundry upgrades and some Athena.

my point exactly.  22M  is a LOT to have lying around.  i get nervous w/ more than 1M...and a build que of more than 4 days...SUX!
Well it was sitting around only while I was online, that's the key ;)
