they absolutely should NOT be, but from what i have been hearing lately, is that they are now suspending people for it.

You are getting two different things confused. the slow attacks being talked about in this thread are up to 100+ hour long attacks possibly o just annoy the receiver by always having red around their planets for being under attack.

A probe slow to counter a ninja is where you send a probe at 10% speed around the end of an attack to slow the attack down so that you can probe with a 100% one when the attack would have landed to see if a bunch of ships all of the sudden popped up.

poeticmotion: You know what will happen if I oracle-lock you?

Absolutely nothing. I\'ll cuss a few times, mutter "holy crap, I\'m not even going to battlecalc that" and have nightmares about 10000 capitol ships descending upon my homeworld.

Well Daniel somers is referring to the slow attack him and his mates did to me to hide the 20 nukes they sent at me. They then attacked while my fleet was on an FRS to get a total of 27k res. The 20 nukes did nothing but get rid of the defense I had that I bought with the res I collected for destroying most of his alliance. :D

I've been getting 'slow attacked' periodically for the last week or so. Should I start reporting these people?

I guess I'd have to be slow attacked to know what it's like, but coming from someone who's only had one set of slow attacks (6 to be exact, 3 days out and the guy didn't recall...free ship destroyed points), I don't see what the big deal is.

Also, I'm not sure how you can determine if an attack is tactical or annoying just due to length. I can see a 110 hour attack turning into a real attack...hell after 4 days I'd quit looking at my fleets screen too (well not anymore, but a week ago before people really started complaining about this, I would have).

It's like people complaining about a pizza that was late being delivered. Sure you'll get the delivery driver fired, but they're just gonna hire another one in a few days and before you know it, BAM, 18 pizzas that won't get there for 110 hours... :(

I was the 426,882 player to get an Athena, the 416,390 player to get a hades and the 222,716 person to get a Prometheus! Bow before my awesomeness!

I reported one last week and it was cancelled almost immediately. I am most certainly not a 'BFG poster boy', whatever that is.
