Nice!

I do have a feature request, and I'm actually not sure if you've already done this:

Can you include wildcards (?, *) in the search?  If I was looking for all variations on "Legion", for example, I'd just type in "*leg*"

Hmmm... perhaps the search engine should have some kind of mid-process filter somehow?  Like, after getting 1000 returns from the database, it would stop searching and return an error message saying "your search is too vague, please narrow your search"

Anyway, I love the tool.  I just wish I can download the galaxy scans that I submit in some kind of csv file.  I can write my own queries, if I have to.

No, I would still use the site for the two main reasons you've given it to us:

1.  To (refresh) scan the galaxies;
2.  To share scans with my alliance.

But as you've already admitted that your database search is somewhat limited, I'm yearning to be able to run my own database instead.

The only thing that keeps me back is that you've already got a galaxy screen parser that works on the fly.

Just do iterative searches and return 100-500 results at a time. Add a "Next Page" control so that if the user is not found on that page, they can continue their search.

I'm sure you use sql for your database searches. But how are you executing the searches? Are you looping through each entry and checking it ageist the match string or are you running a single sql query to search for the match string.
