i would much rather have it the way it was before now there is no way to build a few lets say dios after a large block of hades

That would only be true if you already had a block of Dios being built before the Hades

you can move the blocks around so if you are in the middle of hades, just switch blocks

This new system will work and if people have problems with it they will get over it, myself included. I'd much rather be able to position my queue as I'd like so that I can build certain ships and have them finished when I get on next. But I'll live with the fact that I have to build all the same ships in a row now. You can't get everything you want in life now.

So glad to see the fix to the "one user action results in many server actions" problem with the building blocks. Thanks!

It seems to me everybody would be happy if each user action (build N of type X) was a single block. Limit the number of build blocks in the queue to solve the "then people could just build 1 artemis 2000 times and it wouldn't be better" concern. If somebody really wanted 2 Atlas then 2 Artemis for a total of 50 of each ship they could be made to wait until the first 25 builds were done to queue the second 25.

Or leave it as it is, +1.

I would prefer being able to choose between these two styles of build queue. Sometimes being able to micromanage my queue is eesential. Sometimes it is not.

Build foundry 3 and it will not matter what order you have, they will all be done in no time. It really is a small price to pay honestly. Those of us that queue 1k to 3k ships at a time greatly appreciate being able to play the game as soon as we are finished adding ships and not 15+minutes later.

I think the fix is a good one - and a 95% solution which is good.

Those that need - can adjust the build order by logging on and changing it when needed - or only order the number of ships (whatever mix) to be built that can be built in the period you are afk.  Having more than 1 planet making ships also gives you better control.

And remember - if you want to grind to the 100% solution - every minute the programers spend on this is a minute they arn't working on something else that may have larger significance to the game.  The Forum board is littered with lots of good ideas (and some not so good) - and I would enjoy seeing some of the better ones implemented rather that the small benefit of grinding this issue a little bit better.

BFG programming hours are a finite resource - they need to be used where needed most.

Thank-you BFG for a good compromise solution that works.

A few hours in and I'm very happy,
ie.
Found a target earlier so queued up a few K extra arties, then realised I was short of 100 dio's so re-ordered my queue then when he fleetsaved I moved the remaining artie replacements to the end of the queue and went back to building reinforcements.

Works perfectly and alot more efficient than it was before.
Thank you again. :D
