Cancel Shipyard/Defense/Factory builds

We should be able to cancel a Shipyard Defense or Factory build after it starts. I can do this with Missions Buildings and Research so why not the rest?

Not being able to cancel ships is the price you have to pay for being able to queue a lot of them at the same time.

Not going to happen.

You can queue OR cancel, not both.

Ships and droids can be queued, therefore not canceled.

Buildings and tech can be canceled, therefore not queued.

I dunno.  I would like some consistency.  If this were a "real world" scenario, we would be able to cancel any $$ we invested in Shipyard Defense or Factory build as long as the item wasn't completed.  So maybe a compromise would be queued items get canceled, but whatever is actively being built has to complete!

After all, this game's mantra seems to be Fleet Save, Resource Save, Fleet Save, Resource Save, Fleet Save, Resource Save, Fleet Save, Resource Save, Fleet Save, Resource Save, Fleet Save, Resource Save, Fleet Save, Resource Save, Fleet Save, Resource Save, etc

sometimes you don't have enough to build or research something, or you are currently doing so, and you have extra resources that you cannot ship on a harvest.  It would be in line with the game's mantra to be able to queue up a bunch of ships that you know will take a while to build and be able to come back in an hour and cancel so you save some resources.

This has been beaten to death. Something along these lines will most likely never be implemented.

That's the exact reason you currently can't do it.

I definitely agree on the ships not being able to be canceled, despite having accidentally built a few of the wrong ship a few times, but what I would like to see is being able to queue up buildings/research.  Maybe make it so that only the last one can be canceled and then ONLY when it has been started....

Just a thought.
