I think exploiting this bug is not in the spirit of the game but considering the only reason anyone was able to do it is because Blue Frog left this possibility open, suspensions seem extreme. Especially considering the reality that alliance leaders have been suspended which will cripple a number of alliances, hurting not only the suspended players but also the players who rely on them and the alliances they are a part of.

Just remove the ships and money gained as a result of the glitch, think yourself lucky the mistake didn't completely break the game (which might have happened if enough people tried it) and move on.

Im one of them and I didnt even know about the glitch and still don't know what it is. Don't care fix it and get me back in the game.  This move was downright wrong.

Sorry but that's tuff alliance leaders should be setting examples not glitching end of. Having massive resources of 30mill hydro or the billions someone posted can't go unchecked I would rather be suspended for now and they perm ban the others than allow that to happen or continue to happen.

There are three kinds of men. The one that learns by reading. The few who learn by observation. The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence for themselves.

Let's not jump to conclusions.  In all likeliness they are temporarily suspended while BFG sorts out the mess and removes any resources gained from this.  I already see many of them back from suspension.

It is easy to say that is tough luck but a lot of innocent players will be hurt as a result of that tough luck. When Prophecy lost their leader (in Extreme) they disbanded as the leader kept the leadership controls when they went offline and the alliance couldn't function. If more innocent players are hurt than guilty ones it isn't a good policy.

Besides which, this was a glitch that revealed itself post-update. For all we knew it was intended, like the change to the hydro consumption of nuclear plants. You might say it is obviously not intended but how can you know for sure? Benefit of the doubt applies here I think. That and the rules say no botting, not no utilising abilities and options built into the game.

So how would you suggest that those caught in the crossfire be compensated?

Lost mine production, Attacks canceled, Group Defends and Group Attacks disrupted...

This effects more than those suspended and if the suspension was uncalled for it is impossible to correct.

they should just roll back the resources to the point where it was before this bug exploit, fix the damned bug and let these players play again. that is a lot of high leveled players being suspended and these high leveled players are the die-hard players of the game. Suspend them indefinitely and you might see the game die a slow death. Just my opinion.

May I never live in Your world Darkeye.

Punishment before Proof of Guilt is not a good place to be... the fact you are advocating such a concept is frightening to me.

I think BFG should give every non-cheater 9m resources.  3m of each.  And let us have at it!!!!  LOL.

Look at it as a massive party planet. There's no way they can Resource save all of that so go to town and just leach off of them for the next month or so :)

Where have I said before proof? I AM SUSPENDED RIGHT NOW. I didn't use the glitch the people who did should be perm banned. The rest set free. Other questions go along with setting the people who did glitch free. Did they remove the res they had what about any ships they put into the shipyard 500 proms anyone? So on.

Only 500?

It looks like they only banned people with res sitting so if you had say... 100k artemis in the queue, you'll be fine.
