Kudos to BFG - Now what?
« on: May 07, 2010, 05:11:27 PM »
You acted quickly.  Sure some people lost a few hours of game time that were not guilty, but you did the right thing to preserve the integrity of the Universe.

I sincerely applaud you.  (Even though I have been giving you hell for other items!)

You still face the difficult decision of what to do with all of these players and I was curious to what the community feels is appropriate.

We know how I see things - and I absolutely agree with what BFG did here.

I think this is one of the few times Badrash and I have agreed on anything.

 Perma Bann... start over... Delete the offending account and allow the player to start over starting with an Atlas and one planet with no industry and newbie protection...

This exploitation of the glitch is just like running a bot.  Perm suspension or complete reset is the only answer.

I agree, perma ban is the only way. Or complete reset. It will be good to get some of the scum out of the game.

I wish I was an alliance leader so badass I could obliterate an entire fleet with just atlases!

Pointless poll they have been un suspended   Seriously BFG needs to start adding some polls themselves for these things the are making the community angry at the decisions they make at least we'd feel involved.

That would mean that the game would collapse as all the devs play with unlimited resources and ships, hiding behind an alliance that changes its name when you cotton on to who they are ...... so are you saying BFG is scum ?? If so, put your e-mail address and no doubt one of them will be in touch very shortly !!!!

Are you saying that the actual exploiters of this bug have already been unsuspended?

Darkset, lots of people that did not exploit it got cleared.  Someone having 30M in H is very suspect though...

But can someone post a esp report with BILLIONS of resources on an unsuspended player?  As in right now, they have it.

I find it highly unlikely.

Yes and by the looks of it have kept the resources Boris Alden has 30mill hydro in galaxy 8 and confirmed on another thread he was suspended and without actually saying he did glitch out right it doesn't take a genius go at him lol
